Our Story

Radical World didn’t start with a grand plan. It started with a question:

Is there a way to live, work, and organize that better honors Life?

Since 2018, a small group of us have been exploring this question—challenging the structures, habits, and stories that shape our lives. We weren’t just looking for new ideas—we were searching for a way of being that feels more real, more connected, more human.

It began with lots of coffee meetings and projects like One Life, a social, relational, and collaborative platform designed to move beyond transactional interactions. Alongside it came EvolveOrg, an organizational operating system that aimed to replace rigid hierarchies with more fluid, people-centric ways of working.

We started to see a pattern: it wasn’t just about creating new systems—it was about shifting perspective. This led to the concept of Radical—not just as a call for drastic change, but as a return to the root: Life itself.

A Radical Perspective

We realized that we needed to uncover the deeper purpose behind how we live and work. This led to the development of Radical Purpose Dynamic, and eventually to the co-authorship of Radical Companies: Without Bosses and Employees. The book captured our insights into collaborative, non-hierarchical ways of organizing.

But the journey didn’t stop there. In seeking a broader perspective, we founded Society 2045—a community dedicated to understanding how movements were emerging across different aspects of society. Through over 40 interviews and hundreds of gatherings, we explored what people were already doing to create change, and identified Six Transformational Patterns—shifts in how we do work, community, and life.

A Realization

But something still felt incomplete. We noticed that even our new ideas—our fresh approaches and innovative frameworks—risked becoming just another story. Just another set of beliefs imposed on others—on reality. Who were we to push another story?

That’s when we paused. We asked:

What if it’s not about replacing one story with another?
What if it’s about putting Story in its place—letting Life lead?

This led to our deep dive into Serving Life: A Study on Our Journey to a Radical World. Through this work, we saw that every story, no matter how well-intentioned, can become rigid and detached from Life itself. We realized that we needed to focus not on building new structures, but on listening—on sensing Life as it moves, adapts, and unfolds.

Why We Exist

Radical World exists to rebalance Life and Story.
To move away from control and towards coherence.
To replace fixed models with living, evolving ways of organizing and being.

We believe in rooting our work in Life itself—shifting from transactional interactions to relational, life-affirming practices. We aim to support people to organize, live, and work differently—genuinely, intentionally, and with purpose.
